Drip Coffee

  • by

Drip coffee” or “filter coffee” (sometimes called “batch brew”) refers to the process of using a drip/filter brewer to brew a batch of coffee. This is the standard “coffee machine” where cold water is poured into the water reservoir, and is boiled then dropped through the ground coffee that sits in the filter (a pour over like pieces, usually lined with a paper filter) into the carafe. This is often the preferred method for larger batches of coffee including making 6 cups at home for the family or a much larger version like what you might see at a cafeteria or coffee shop.
